The LED-Flashlight – Feature on “Einstein”
Even though “Einstein” was already on (unfortunately in german), the whole show is available online at SF1 and the feature on LEDs here on our website. On the basis of the competition idea submitted by Fischer und Walker, iart conceived and planned the exhibition ‘Under the Lake’ for the Swiss pavilion at Expo Zaragoza 2008. The exhibition’s central feature was a huge sail onto which water constantly fell, which served as a projection surface for a video work by
For the new visitors’ centre of the Paul Scherrer Institute in Villigen iart realised the main exhibit ‘Interactive Sphere’. The sphere itself serves as a display for projected images and as a navigation tool. According to the movement of the sphere, produced by the interaction of visitors’, it changes its content and external appearance. The installation was developed in order to communicate global circumstances and developments regarding climate change, energy research and mobility. 

For the sail installation ‘Under the Lake’ at the Expo Zaragoza 2008 the artist Max Philipp Schmid realized the video. The making of shows him at work together with Thomas Isler, Esther Hiepler and the actor who appears swimming along the sail in the finished work.
On the new web page iart shows its projects and work in progress and invites all customers, partners and others to online exchange.
A test video is being projected on a 1:3 test screen. Max Philipp Schmid and iart employees present their work and discuss the content with the client.
LIKLAK was an illuminated cube by Claude Hidber which could be used as information carrier. By sending a short message from a mobile phone the ticker of the cube was activated.
