iartTV – Interactive Sphere
For the new visitors’ centre of the Paul Scherrer Institute in Villigen iart realised the main exhibit ‘Interactive Sphere’. The sphere itself serves as a display for projected images and as a navigation tool. According to the movement of the sphere, produced by the interaction of visitors’, it changes its content and external appearance. For the sail installation ‘Under the Lake’ at the Expo Zaragoza 2008 the artist Max Philipp Schmid realized the video. The making of shows him at work together with Thomas Isler, Esther Hiepler and the actor who appears swimming along the sail in the finished work.
On the new web page iart shows its projects and work in progress and invites all customers, partners and others to online exchange.
A test video is being projected on a 1:3 test screen. Max Philipp Schmid and iart employees present their work and discuss the content with the client.
The video installation ‘Lebensfluss’ (stream of life) by the artist Syl Betulius contains a collage of historical black and white photographs and films, music and spoken texts written by Annemarie Schwarzenbach and a piece of clothing hanging at the ceiling. iart was responsible for planning the media installation, tegoro solutions ag for the technical realisation.
