Vindonissa Museum Brugg — The Media of the Permanent Exhibition
Since November 2008 the new permanent exhibition of the Vindonissa Museum in Brugg has shown a selection of outstanding finds and important insights from more than 100 years of excavations in Vindonissa and told stories about the camp of the Roman legion.
The exhibition was realised in two stages: During the first stage, a projection was installed to complete the physical model of the roman camp. Thus, visitors can learn more about the functions of the buildings, the infrastructure, the topography and the surroundings, facilitating a comparison between the historic settlement and the town of today.
In October 2009, a touchscreen and a monitor were contributed to the model. With this media contributed by iart, virtual city tours through the historical city of Vindonissa were made possible. Aditionally, several audio installations and a video were produced and installed on the first floor of the exhibition.
