The Source. It’s in your hands – The Swiss Pavilion 2012 in Yeosu
From 12 May to 12 August 2012, the World Expo in the South Korean coastal city Yeosu takes place under the motto ‘The Living Ocean and Coast’. Switzerland is presenting itself as the clean water source of Europe that also provides pure water to oceans: the North Sea, the Mediterranean, the Adriatic and the Black Sea. Under the title ‘The Source. It’s in your hands’ the design team ‘Steiner Tamschick Nüssli’ – commissioned by Presence Switzerland – has created an interactive, emotional visitors experience: Visitors get the opportunity to hold projected images in their hands, to enjoy stunning views of the Swiss mountains and to explore a 5000 year old ice core. iart has supported the project as consultant. Tamschick Media+Space GmbH was responsible for the media scenography of the large projections.
